Sunshine Beach is one of the town’s most popular tourist attractions. It is located on the eastern side of the boat station in the city centre. In 2008, a sandy beach section was created from the sand excavated from the lake bed, which evokes a seaside atmosphere and became a paradise for families with small children in the year of its opening. The shallow, slowly deepening water is safe for even the smallest bathers. The silky sand has become a favourite spot for sandcastle builders. In addition, there is also a water park where currently three pools operate. The beautiful mosaic-tiled children’s and adult pools also include adventure elements: equipped with slides, jacuzzis, neck showers, and massage walls. Next to the adult experience pool, a sunbathing terrace has been created, from which the 4-lane wave slide begins. The adult experience pool is shaped like a figure 8. One ring of the figure 8 houses a current channel, while the inner side of the other ring has a massage wall, and on the formed island, four types of neck showers are available. The pool’s water is a constant 110 cm deep. The facility’s last completed element, a three-lane giant wave slide, has enjoyed great popularity in recent years.
