Balatonlelle is unique in having more than four kilometres of free beach access. In addition to several smaller free beaches, the 2-kilometre-long West Free Beach awaits water lovers in the centre of town, west of the harbour. The shallow, slowly deepening lakeside is also popular with families with young children. The entire beach is covered with well-kept lawns, some of which are up to 100 metres wide. The beach facilities include an adventure park, tennis and beach volleyball courts, a giant slide, an electric boat, water bikes and surf rental, play areas and snack bars.
The public beach in Szirom köz is located in the immediate vicinity of the Balatonlellefelső railway station. There is a snack bar on the right side of the beach. Right behind the cafeteria is the social building with first aid room and toilets for men and women. It is a leafy place so there is plenty of shade.
The beach in Határ Street is located on the boundary of Balatonlelle and Balatonszemes. The beach has a small sandpit and a climbing frame for children. The whole area is shaded by huge trees. There is a buffet in the immediate vicinity of the beach.
The buffet at the entrance to the beach at Csöpi köz is open only during the summer. There are social facilities on the beach with toilets for men and women.
